How Can Pain And Pressure In The Head Indicate?

I have had an atypical headache that has lasted about 4 days. No relief from Tylenol, ibuprofen, ice, caffeine, and plenty of rest. Went to ER 3 days ago with fever of 101. I also have pressure around my whole head and went I cough or sneeze the pressure is in my neck and back. ED told me it was headache gave me reglan and toradol and discharged me. Should I be concerned about my back pressure when coughing and the extended headache?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Did you have any associated symptoms, like runny nose, cough and cold etc., with the fever. If yes, then most likely the cause of your headache might be acute sinusitis, which can be treated by your doctor by prescribing antibiotics. Steam inhalation might help to loosen the mucus.

Also, need to rule out meningitis as that can also present with headache and fever.

Hope this helps.

Warm regards.
