How Can Pain And Swelling In The Calves Be Treated?

My calves hurt and my feet are swelling. I take Diltiazem and lipitor generic. Can they cause this? My calves sting and pain like I have been working out but I have not. Thanks so much. I am not smothering or hurting anywhere except in my feet and legs. My email address is: YYYY@YYYY

Hello...

The frequency with which CCB treatment is accompanied by peripheral edema is both compound-specific and dose-dependent. Therefore, a more potent CCB like amlodipine will be associated with higher rates of edema development than a somewhat lower-potency CCB like diltiazem.

Possibility of
1.dependent edema
2.bil deep vein thrombosis
3.cellulitis of legs
4.heart failure
5.renal failure
6.hypo/hyperthyroidism
7.wet beri beri
8.hypolroteinemia /anemia
9.ccb induced edema
10.restless leg syndrome with dependent edema.

Please consult your doctor he will advice blood tests with color dopplor of lower limbs.
How will guide you according to the problem..
