How Can Pain And Swelling In The Knees Be Treated?

I had knee surgery on 5/5, fell a week after and found out I had a slight tear in my acl. Fast forward to this morning and I stepped in a hole twisting my knee and falling directly on it (same knee from surgery). I do have mild swelling but severe pain and unable to bear weight. Should I seek the er or wait until my appointment on Wednesday? Thank you.

Hello and greetings

Since you had recent surgery and then trauma on the same knee, and now the pain is unbearable and unable to bear weight, it is highly advisable to go to ER and get x-ray or CT scan done to assess the damage done to the knee.

Waiting for appointment can aggravate the problem and will cause more pain and damage to knees.

Hope this helps you
Thanks
