Hello,

As per your history, you were having knee pain and swelling. There are many causes of knee pain, and swelling but as you were having knee replacement history, the probable cause might be minor injury or infection. It can be confirmed and other causes can be excluded by the following investigations:
1. Nerve conduction tests.
2. X-ray of the knee.
3. Blood glucose levels.
4. Serum calcium.
Coming to the treatment part, you can follow the below:
1. Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug.
2. Extension and flexion exercises.
3. Pain killer spray can be used.
4. Muscle relaxants can be used for one week.
5. Vitamins tablets.
There is no need to worry, but it is always better to take care as soon as to avoid some complications.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Vamsi Krishna Chittimoju
