How Can Pain And Swelling In The Left Knee Be Treated?

I have bone on bone on my left knee for the past 3 years after having an arthroscope 11/14 my leg and feet started swelling it took 4 months to get a diagnosis of complex regional pain syndrome i go to a pain specialist and i have been on oxycodene for 2 years and also methadone. my doctor changed the methadone to oxycontin a little over a month ago and I don t feel normal anymore.... I am very depressed almost always and i suffer a lot of restless leg any suggestions

hi
depending on arthroscopic evaluation of knee,your doctor can be reconsulted if any surgical intervention could help.
maybe your restless leg and regional pain syndrome may lessen after knee operation if indicated. opioids should be gradually tapered and other pain modalities like physical therapy,heat,massage by ultrasonicsand simple pain medicines like diclofenac etc substituted.
an Doppler study should also be done for circulation of leg accountable to pain,Claudia Timon
