How Can Pain And Swelling In The Lips Be Treated?

I har tooth break off and it kept cuting my lips so I pue orgel on for paion I woke up with my lips swellon
me lips were 3 time the side could it been shingles ? My doc.treated me for allergy It lasted about 2 weeks leaving me sore lips and when I eat my lips burned can you maybe help me

Hi..
Thanks for the query..

Well if the lip is getting injured with the sharp edge of the tooth, then also it is less likely that it will turn three times the size of the normal lip..

So it is appearing to be more likely allergic reaction leading to Allergic Angioedema of lip..

So in case if there is recurrence of symptoms then you should get an allergic test done..
Once the cause is ruled out you should try and avoid exposure to it..

For the sore lips you can start doing cool compresses over the lips and take Vitamin B complex daily..
You can apply Lidocaine gel over the lips especially before eating so that the lips does not burn..
