Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Doctor, I did go to the hospital last Friday. I was given a med scan by a tech. It was determined that I have a sprain, I did an extended stretch after my daily walk--as I usually do, but not as extensively. My right shin is swollen and still pains when walking. I have suspended walking for the tie being as I will soon be eighty years. I have made an appointment with an orthopedic on Friday. Should I be seeing a specialist? RSVP Ray
As far as symptoms are concerned, it should be inflammatory condition involving the shin. I recommend to visit a consultant surgeon for best clinical evaluation and guidelines. Primary relief with ice application, Aleve intake would be best.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
