How Can Pain And Swelling In The Testicle Be Treated?
my son got kicked hard in the testicle several months ago playing water polo. he went to the ER due to the pain and swelling. they did an ultrasound and said he had an infection and gave him antibiotics. initiallly they helped, the swelling went way down but it was still a little sore. he went to a dr. last week to get it checked out and he said it was epididymis and gave him pain killers and another antibiotic. hes taken those for a bout a week but it still feels the same, sore and tender. he is not sexually active and is a virgin. he also said his main worry is his normal erections most morning have been non existent. It´s not super painful just uncomfortable and sore. Any advice would be appreciated.
It is probably due to local inflammation after the incident. As the ultrasound is fine nothing much to worry and he will improve soon.
As of now, you can use analgesics/anti-inflammatory combination like Aceclofenac/Serratiopeptidase for symptomatic relief. If symptoms persist you can go for a second ultrasound for reassessment.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
