How Can Pain And Swelling On The Forehead Caused By An Injury Be Treated?

A block of wood, (mahogany with cocobolo laminated to it) fell off a shelf that I bumped, about 3 to impact so not THAT bad, and hit me across the right check and bridge of my nose. Didn t bother me for at least 12 hours. Seemed normal slight contusion until the next morning. I awoke to my nose and face grotesquely swollen! The nose pain was mostly towards the fleshy tip and seemed soft tissue pain. I thought it was strtange but not cause for a hos[pital visit. The swelling did not change throughout the day. Next morning was alarming! The swelling was moving upward, to my forehead! Now, day 3, the pain and swelling are located in the center of my forehead with pain radiating to the back of my head. I am at a loss and don t know if I need to take time to go to the hospital or if I should just watch it.
