How Can Pain And Swelling On The Testicles Be Treated?

I had a tick bite about 2 months ago and felt no side effects except itching constantly. I just got over what I thought was a UTI and took azo pills. That did not help. I went to an urgent care and he seems to think that I have swelling on the epididymis or that diagnosis. He gave me doxycycline but the pain has gone from one testicle to the other. Does the doxycycline help ticks bites? Im worried no because of the dull pain in my testicles doesn t go away that its cancer. How long before I should start feeling better on the antibiotics?

Please do not worry that you have testicular cancer. In all probability, you are having Epididimo-orchitis. This infection is treated with antibiotics, and the doctor who has examined you is in the best position to determine which antibiotic would be helpful. It would take about 10 days for complete resolution of infection. Please also wear an undergarment which will support your testes, and relieve pain and swelling.
