Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
How Can Pain Around A Surgical Incision Be Treated?
I had surgery on my breast back in November for a cyst and a tumor. It got infected and opened back up in December. Now, its still very painful inside and at the incision site. The pain get worse with each day that passes. I recently moved to another state and don t have a doctor. Should I go to the emergency? Would they be able to do anything?
I am sorry for the health problems you are facing.
I highly recommend going to the ER. The doctors and nurses there will help you manage the pain the best way possible.
If you have moved to another state, I believe you've already asked your previous doctor to get your personal clinical file with you. You can show to the doctors there in the ER when you go.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Albana Sejdini,
