How Can Pain Behind The Knees Be Treated?

i have pain in the back of my knee. I can t bend my leg It hurts to sit downed bend the knee. I am 59 years old. I have never had a problem with my knees. The pain started one week ago. I stood up after lunch at the table and my knee cap popped. should i ice it? go get X-rays?

Hi,

The symptoms mentioned by you probably indicate arthritis of knee joints. You need to get X-rays of knee joints. It's better to consult an orthopedic specialist for expert evaluation on this. A short course of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medicines may bring improvement in pain but any medicine must be started after doctor's consultation only.
