Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
yes I knelt down on my knees to grab something and when I got up slowly, I heard a crack n my left knee then when upright and walking my leg calf thigh and behind knee hurts this was this morning and now it seems worse, I iced it down behind my knee and laid down but it still hurts
Since the pain is in your calf and thigh muscles, it is possible that you have over stretched some fibers of the muscles while getting up. Most important is to give rest to the injured muscles. Avoid straining this limb till complete healing of the injury, and pain relief. Please do not massage vigorously, as it may worsen the condition. Just apply warm compress twice a day for 5 to 10 minutes each. It may take one to two weeks for complete healing of injured muscle fibers.
