Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi Doctor, Thank you for being available to answer my questions. I am a cancer survivor going on 8 years. I still battle multiple side effects from the intense treatments i required. My tumor was inoperable and as a result i had 9 surgeries, 2 rounds of 24 hour chemo requiring carrying a bag full of chemo meds for 7 days straight, in the mist of all this i required radiation treatment 15 minutes every day for 48-49 weeks. i also had to have a colostomy and ultimately lost all my teeth. Other than these health issues I try like hell to be as normal a woman as i can conjure up. I ALSO MUST TELL YOU DUE TO THESE EXTREME TREATMENTS TO KEEP ME ALIVE I now live medicated with pain meds due to DAMAGE SUSTAINED ON HIP DUE TO RADIATION. On a pain scale i would rate myself 8-91/2 daily. i am mostly housebound unless i take more meds. Dr, if you were my physician what meds would you prescribe me on a daily basis? .
* The best-proven analgesia in cancer patients on chemotherapy proves to be morphine or another supportive analgesic with central acting methods mediating the neurotransmitters of the system.
However, individual case needs must be curtailed after thorough physical examination, history and supportive data facts of clinical grounds.
