How Can Pain Due To Fractured Ribs Be Treated?
Hello, My mother sustained a sacral fracture and 4 rib fractures 3 weeks ago. The issue is her pain caused from the sacral fracture (alar). She is currently at a SNF where the medical staff have tried the lidoderm patch as well as several other oral pain meds. Finally the pain seems to be controlled but now they want to wean her off Vicodin. There was limited if any relief from using the lidoderm patch. Are there any other transdermal options that may help control her pain? Karen
