How Can Pain In Ribs And Swelling On Feet And Shoulder Be Treated?

I fell down some stairs two days ago. The following day I sneezed and it caused pain in my ribs. Since then I struggle to breath properly and the pain limits most movements. I cannot feel any physical abnormalities so do not think anything is actually broken. I also have other associated bruising and swelling on my feet shoulder and back although these are manageable. I saw my doctor two days ago and she didn t offer any advice. What should I do next?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

You should do an X-ray examination to see if you have something in your chest like hemothorax. If examinations are okay there is nothing to worry. To relieve pain you can use Ibuprofen. Make an X-ray and a blood test.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Blerina Pasho, General & Family Physician
