Hello,

it sounds like pain of neural origin. Your doctor should examine your leg and determine the cause of pain but this kind of symptom resembles neuropathy (sensory deficit, can't lift the foot, pain after(?) treated infection). Another potential cause of pain can be joint injury due to septic arthritis if the infection spread to the joint. Radiological tests may provide additional clues regarding the joint and neurological assessment can assess neural function (both clinical and lab tests).

So in conclusion, the neural structure of your leg and foot should be evaluated and the joint has to be radiologically tested. There are potential treatments for neuropathy (if this is indeed the diagnosis) but there is no way to treat it with an intent to cure it. You can only alleviate the pain with drugs until it - hopefully - gets better with time.

I hope you find my comments helpful!
Kind Regards!
