How Can Pain In The Ankles After An Ankle Surgery Be Treated?
Hello, I am 12 weeks post ankle surgery and still having pain. I d like to take something otc besides tylenol because it doesn t touch the pain. I am also taking Xaralto for a clot I developed after surgery. I took two aleve this morning and it really helped but now I understand I shouldn t be using it. What can I can for day time pain? At night I use half a percocet but obviously can t during the day. Thank you, Lupita

Hi Lupita, Thanks for the query. I understand your concern. Pain in ankle after ankle joint surgery needs - Rest to the painful joint./hot or cold pack. Pain mediccine over the counter after food. Try to consult the surgeon...earliest. He will e xamune for possible sepsis ( in recent surgery)/ over exertion or injury to the joint./"malunion of joint parts causing inflammation or problem with rhe plate/screws/prosthesis used insurgery .
