How Can Pain In The Arm Due To Carpal Tunnel Syndrome Be Treated?

my daughter has carpeal tunnel, left arm , but the pain travels from fingers to the back area, at the shoulder blade, but about an inch and a half from her spine. She will have a knot about the size of a fifty cent piece. The pa[n is overwhelmingly hard. She has learned to keep the arm and shoulder area covered with no air getting to it and it helps. Does this sound like normal carpul tunnel?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The symptoms of your daughter seem to be related to carpal tunnel syndrome.

I suggest using anti-inflammatory medication such as Ibuprofen.

I also recommend maintaining the area immobilized.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
