How Can Pain In The Arms And Fingers Be Treated?

I had ulnar nerve transposition surgery in 2000, am now experiencing pain in arm and fingers (ring and little finger) had Mri done yesterday and dr said I had nerve root damage and to seek nerve doctor for possible surgery. I have to work to support my family, is there any melds I can take to help curb pain, nausea and light headless so I can continue work until I can see a specialist. I also am experiencing my ring finger and little finger curling up and won t straighten out. Your help is appreciated.

Hi,

Sorry to hear about the injury you have now. As for taking up the medicines the same physician can write one because medicines vary from country to country. Usually ultracet, Hifenac P, neurokind, etc. are some brand names.

But please understand that this medicines are for symptomatic relief for short duration and if any surgery is recommended you should check one with the specialist.

But if the MRI was taken of the cervical spine, and there is nerve root entrapment at the cervical spine than use a cervical collar and hot water fermentation for relief of pain. If you find changes in the pain than may be exercise will help in later. Try meeting up the physiotherapist who can help you with some relief.
