Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Back and chest/upper stomach pain for the past 3 days. Nothing is helping. I took my prilosac, tums and IBprofen but pain still there. I thought it was my GERD acting up due that I had some Chili and shoveled snow the night I felt the pain or discomfort occur. I have a history of Gastritous/GERD stomach issues like gas/bloat lactose intolerant and possible Gluten sensitive. This is the 1st. time it has latest so long an it is becoming unbearable. Should I go to the walk in center or make a appt. with my primary Dr.?
As per history, it seems gastritis pain. But after antacid, as your condition not improving, the doctor consulted for a physical examination. Ultrasound abdomen scan is advisable. History of any unaccustomed sleep position, trauma took to rule out muscular pain. Sometimes gall bladder, liver pathology pain also can lead back referred pain. Ultrasound abdomen scan will be beneficial in that manner. Drink lots of water. Avoid excess spicy foods.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Parth Goswami
