How Can Pain In The Elbow Be Treated?

I fell and bruised my elbow on Monday evening when I tripped over our dog. We had it x-rayed and the doctor said it was just bruise but told me to put it in a sling for a few days to let it heal. On Thurdsay evening I fell in Walmart on a wet spot. I hit the same elbow on the same spot and now I am in a lot more pain. Could it be just a deep bruise or should I see a doctor again if the pain continues?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

You need to consult doctor again as you again injured your elbow to rule out any fracture or ligament injury.Once it's ruled out you can continue using the same sling.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
