How Can Pain In The Feet Be Treated?

Hello, I am a fifty year old woman in relatively good health. i feel in the shower about 6 to 8 months ago. i had bruising and pain due to fall. I was seen by MD and x rays were taken, no fractures were noted. Both of my feet continue to have pain and hurt when I walk at my toes and front of feet but not my heels. It feels like i am walking on stones even with shoes on.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

There might be some contusions or sometime a hairline fracture which couldn’t be detected in X-rays. You can go for an MRI scan which can provide a better clinical picture and will be able to detect muscle and tendon involvement as well as thin hairline fracture. As of immobilise the affected foot in a brace and take analgesics like diclofenac or ibuprofen for pain. Wishing you good health.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain
