Hi hi my name is Lew,I had a fusion on L5 & S1.Prior to the surgery I had pain in my back and in my groin, it s been almost 6 weeks the back pain is almost gone but the pain in my groin on the right is still there and I feel it could even be worse. I was told it could be from the hip. I had my hips checked by 2 hip specialist and they both said it s not coming from the hips. I am taking painkillers and there is no relief. Could you tell me where I can go from here what is my next move? Thank you
Hello Dear , I took deep concern with your issue herewith . @ Usually groin area pain is separate entity from L5 S1 fusion , vivid reasons are there ranging from - developing / developed inguinal hernia - ureteric calculus - lymph node enlargement - undescended testis in males - epididymo orchitis - muscular stretch - hematoma - inflammatory condition of groin skin - many more @ You require Ultrasound of Abdomen & Pelvis for final confirmation of the diagnosis & further management accordingly . Hope this helps you definitely . Feel free to ask any further questions dear . Thanks for using Health care magic . Get well soon dear . Regards .
