How Can Pain In The Groin Area Due To An Injury Be Treated?
I was skiing yesterday and fell hard on my right hip - sore but no bruising. Problem - it is painful in groin area when trying to lift my leg while lying down, barely can lift it at all. Able to walk pretty well but painful when I get off center. I have iced it and taking Motrin IB. What do you think I did? What else should I do to treat it? Thinking about skiing again but don t want to over do it to soon a or do anymore damage. Thank you.

How Can Pain In The Groin Area Due To An Injury Be Treated?
Hello, First of all, after a fall you should do an x-ray to check for broken bones. If there is not a fall but just an injury you should take Advil for pain and inflammation. Also, you should rest as much as possible and use ice at the injury site. You should get fully recovered before going to ski again. Hope I have answered the question. Let me know if I can assist you further. Regards, Dr. Olgeta Xhufka, General & Family Physician
