How Can Pain In The Knees, Lower Back And Ankles Be Treated?

I took my German Shepard for a light jog last night and immediately became very sore. My knees, lower back and ankles. I took a Tylenol and went to bed. This morning every joint in my body ached something aweful; my neck, shoulders, back, knee, ankles, elbows, wrists, fingers. I started to feel sick and got sick this evening but my stomach feels better now. I have taken a warm Edson soak and nothing is helping the aches/hurt. I kickbox 3 times a week so I am not out of shape or overweght; 5 5 156lb

Tylenol may not be effective as ibuprofen for anti-inflammatory type of aches and pain. I would recommend 600mg 3 times a day for 7 days as a good anti-inflammatory regimen. I would caution you to make sure you take this medication with food as ibuprofen can cause an upset stomach if not taken with food.

Additionally; I would recommend a significant stretching regimen prior to exercising and especially, after exercising. Set aside 15-20 minutes prior to exercising to stretch and warm up you joints. Just as important to avoid significant soreness if stretching after exercise. Also do not underestimate to power of lower extremity compression stockings while exercising, elevating and icing after exercise and enough rest between strenuous activities.
