How Can Pain In The Left Arm Be Treated?

Hi, I need an answer for some symptoms that I have. I have a somewhat mild pain shooting into my left arm then it almost feels like my heart hurts but I don t know if it s my heart or just some kind of muscle around it. With that my left shoulder blade feels sore and sometimes my left ribs. I have no idea if it s a pinch nerve or an actual problem with my heart. I am only 20 years of and take no medication and have no diseases. Family doesn t have a heart problem history. Please help thanks

General & Family Physician 's  Response
as you guessed, most likely the problem originates from the spine. herniated discus.....as for therapy : nsails(topical or systemic),myorelaxants, corticosteroids(intramuscular,or intraarticular, paraspinal),physical therapy,at the end even orthopedic/neurosurgery. but most importantly, try strenghtening your back muscles,by daily exercises. that is the only way to stop your problem,or ern reverse it.otherwise it will only deteriorate through time, even with all the therapeutics.
