How Can Pain In The Left Leg Be Treated?

I have been having ongoing pain in my left hip/leg with sciatica issues for a number of weeks. i have been seeing my chiropractor for some relief. This morning I do not have pain but there is definite heat like an internal heating pad in the same area, and I think it is traveling down my leg. Other than Ice and rest, what can I do?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

It could be due to neuropathic causes like sciatica. As the first line of management, you can take analgesics like Gabapentin for symptomatic relief. If pain persists it is better to consult a neurologist and get evaluated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
