How Can Pain In The Leg Be Treated?

I have leg pain in the night which is keeping me from getting a good night rest. It hurts where my leg joins my body on my left side and goes down my thigh. It gets worse as the night goes on and this morning I was in so much pain I didn t know what position to try to be in to relieve the pain. I was diagnosed with bursitis in my left hip.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello, my name is Dr.Dorina Gurabardhi. I understand your concern.
Your symptoms can be related to many conditions:
-Muscle cramps
-Tendinitis
-Veins and Clots
-Nerves
Some advices that I can give to you are :
-Rest your legs to feel better.
-Ice helps.
-Take anti-inflammatory meds such as aspirin, ibuprofen, and naproxen.
-Try not to do anything that makes your leg hurt more. Once it feels a little better, do some stretches.
-The next time out, wear comfortable, supportive shoes.
- Don't run on hard surfaces if possible.
Hope my answer was helpful, if you have any other questions I'll be glad to help, thanks!
