How Can Pain In The Leg Due To Staph Infection Be Treated?
I had knee surgery to correct a tear. 3 days after surgery I developed Staph infection in my left leg due to the surgery, I was on antibotics for 42 days after the Doctore washed out my leg twice as soon as he saw what my legs looked like and I was hospitalized emediately for the procedure. Now one year later I am having a lot of soreness in the leg and hip, what can I do to relieve the pain I am having. Also I do not feel very good am tired all the time. I also have been inserting Mupirocin in my nose by another DR. to help me from getting the Staph again, Is their something else I can do. I am 78 years old and I bowl in two leagues a week, so I am active.
As of now, you can use analgesics/anti-inflammatory combination like aceclofenac/serratiopeptidase for symptomatic relief. If there are signs of infection, antibiotics have to be continued. You can choose the antibiotics according to culture and sensitivity.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
