General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello there I have read through your question and understand your concern. I would advise you to get an X Ray to rule out a broken rib. Though most likely it is due to intercostal muscle injury. If fracture is ruled out you can follow the following instructions for prompt healing. 1. Rest and avoiding pressure in the affected area.2. Avoid sleeping on the affected side. 3. Application of ice packs 4. An over the counter painkiller like advil to reduce inflammation. 5. Tab chymoral forte once daily to facilitate faster healing. I hope that answers your question. If you have any further questions please feel free to write. Thank you for choosing healthcare magic.
