How Can Pain In The Right Leg Be Treated?

I have had a pain down my right leg from sciatica since Tuesday June 27. I have spinal stenois diagnosed along with a two splipped disc in 2007. At that time I did get help and it got better didn t have any problem until now. I went to Er in my home town and received strong pain pills. They helped a little but I can not sleep in my bed because of the pain. What would you advise me to do? My email is yyyyy@yyyy.net

General Surgeon 's  Response
Since you have already been diagnosed with lumbar disc prolapse and sciatica on the right lower limb, it is obvious that the prolapsed discs are causing nerve and possible cord compression. Your pain is disturbing your sleep. It is most advisable to consult a neurosurgeon or an orthopedic surgeon and with minimal access surgery, remove the prolapsed discs. This would give you relief from pain and improve the quality of your life.
