Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi my name is Andrew, and about two weeks ago or so I injured my Rt shoulder during a repetitive action on a hand crank at work; and have been experiencing moderate pain and discomfort ever since that day? My pain is on and off depending on what I m doing with my Rt hand and arm during normal daily activities? When my arm does certain things it lets me know that its still there (pain) like nagging pain. I have been going to the gym and stretching it and doing some light ( very light) weight training to see how it acts up and it does hinder my workouts. At this point what should I do?
It sounds like you may have injured your shoulder. I would suggest complete rest for the right shoulder, preferably in a sling for two weeks. Use an ice pack twice a day. After two weeks you can start gradual shoulder mobilization exercises. Like rotating the shoulder, wall climbing with your fingers. Do consult a physiotherapist or look it up on youtube. Physiotherapy is extremely beneficial. Hope this helped. If the pain gets too bad, you could take a Diclofenac with serratiopeptidase.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Pranav Balakrishnan
