How Can Pain In The Shoulders And Arms Be Treated?
Was having shoulder pain for some time. More recentlyI have more pain down my whole arm, much around my elbow and down, including my hand......especially when I rotate my arm. It is even painful at times when I am not moving it. It can be difficult to find a pain free position for my arm when I am just sitting or in bed. I also have fibromyalgia, but never had this more extreme pain and weakness in my right arm. It is also affected when I grip things.
Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic. I can understand your concern. By your history and description, we should first rule out shoulder joint related pathology. So consult orthopedic doctor and get done clinical examination, x ray and MRI of right shoulder joint. You may need arthroscopic management if there is ligamental or muscular injury. If all the reports are normal then physiotherapy is beneficial in your case. Combination of painkiller and muscle relaxant drugs are also useful. Application of warm water pad and ice packs alternately should also be tried. Don't worry, you will be alright with all these. Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
