How Can Pain In The Thumb Due To An Injury Be Treated?

I had a heavy part of a meat grinder hit my thumb, between the nail and 1st knuckle, its been 1 1/2 weeks. I can move my thumb but it does hurt when i do. Also, tingles and pain has moved through the whole thumb and now into the hand. Grasping hurts but I can do it.

1.Avoid doing work with the injured thumb and give rest to the thumb.
2.Had pain killer tablet like diclofenac sodium twice a day after food this make u to feel better.
