How Can Pain On The Left Side Of The Back Be Treated?

hi i fell off of my horse today onto my back left side and it knocked the wind out of me. I ve been putting a heating pad on it and having a hard time moving. Incase of some kind of internal bleeding should I not be laying down in the bed? I will probably go for an xray tomorrow. Any advise?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
please see a doctor and get evaluated as soon as possible.
you can use tablet Flexon for pain relief.
please get a tetanus shot if you are not immunised already.
if you feel faint or giddy please call an ambulance.
if u have pain in moving any joint or pain is localised to some particular area of bone. do not move it.
please apply ice instead of heat in case of acute injury.
any deep wound with bleeding should be treated by direct pressure and suturing if needed.
superficial wounds sud b cleaned with soap and water and apply betadine lotion and leave open.
please do not stay alone if feeling ill. call a relative or a friend and take help.
you can also take prophylactic antibiotic like Amoxicillin or Azithromycin if the skin involvement is extensive.
also take Vit C. stay hydrated.
