How Can Painful Bumps On The Cervix Be Treated?

I ve been having cevical pain and a few months back noticed bumps on my cervix...which are a little bigger now and more of them. They don t hurt to touch but my cervix in general is tender. I have pcos but feel this is different pain entirely. It also hurts worse while having bowel movements or gas with no constipation. I have an exam scheduled but it is a few weeks out and hoping to find possible answers sooner. I have also been in no sexual relationship for over a year and my last mentrual cycle was 55 days ago (but this is common for me) however i did spot a very tiny bit one day about a week ago.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

It can be a genital wart. Another possibility is molluscum. Nothing much to worry as both of them are easily curable and harmless condition.

Consult a dermatologist and plan for further management. Once the diagnosis of genital wart is confirmed, you can go for cauterisation or cryosurgery.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
