How Can Painful Carpal Tunnel Syndrome Be Treated?
My daughter has Cupural Tunnel In both hands and sometimes when she has really bad pain her arm will go limp for about 2 to 3 minutes then the other one will go limp for a couple of minutes, they look like she had a stroke but they return to normal, she said she has had that before,Are these Symptoms common with cuperal tunnel?
Hello, I understand your concern. Initially she can take non prescription drug, like antiinflammatory ex. Ibubrofen 400 mg, just to relieve the pain. Ice the wrist for 10 to 15 minutes at a time, once or twice an hour. Also she can wear a wrist slint, for keeping the wrist in the right possition. All this are for relieve the pain and to prevent, but another solution, when the pain it is uncontrolable and very often, it is surgery. Through surgery she will treat the real problem, because the carpal tunnel syndrome come from the narrowing space in the wrist, which affect the median nerve who cause the symptoms. I wish my answer was helpful to you! Best Regards! Dr Eniola
