How Can Painful Cystic Acne On The Face Be Treated?

Hi, I’ve always had acne but in the last 4 days I’ve had a massive cystic outbreak all over my face so painful and sore I’m on medication but it doesn’t seem to be doing anything? I’m so down about my appearance at the moment and I hate my face the way it’s covered in red puss filled lumps.
