How Can Painful Epididymitis Be Treated?

I have epididymitis real bad. I m currently taking antibiotics for the pain and discomfort. I have an enlarged prostate as well. My doctor says that the antibiotics should clear up the infection but he said that it could take a while for relief. Is this true? The pain is so intense it s hard to take.

Good day and thank you for posting this question. Sorry about the pain. Yes, the antibiotics should clear up the infection. If I were your doctor I will also add a pain killer for you to reduce the pain, like acetaminophen or diclofenac.
I hope it helps.
Thank you.
