Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have osteoarthritis and am very limited to what I can take for pain. My gastro Dr originally said just Tylenol. I have recently been diagnosed with hemolytic anemia. Prednisone did not help. In July I completed four infusions of rituxan. I have had joint pain the Tylenol will not relieve. My gastro Dr said I could take aleve liquid gels which has help some. Recently that visit to hematologist said it was fine to take also. My blood test have come back normal two months in a row. Now, after two weeks on aleve, I have a cancor sore, slightly swollen lip, and face breakout of a few pimples. At night I get a low grade fever and chills. Hematologist is not worried about low grade fever. Got the cancor sore and facial pimples after I visited her. Do you think it is the aleve? I really do not want to to call them on a Friday.

How Can Painful Osteoarthritis Be Treated?
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice. So far as symptoms narrated here, they are the obviously evident side effects of ibuprofen intake. I would recommend to consume Tramadol Hydrochloride for better pain relief with proton pump inhibitor and supplemental folate, B12 I would like to assist further at anytime. Regards.
