Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My daughter has been on 30mg abilify, 40mg latuda, 6mg invega, and 1.5mg vraylar. She gets dystonia with the arching of the back and neck and is unable to walk. Her doctor recommended fanapt. What makes this drug any better than the atypical antipsychotics that are already out there? She is now on 5mg abilify and takes 100mg of benadryl with that. She still gets the dystonia and pain. The dystonia comes and goes. Are you aware of any antipsychotics that do not cause dystonia? Is there something you can take with the antipsychotic that will inhibit the dystonia?
