Physical Therapist or Physiotherapist, Niraj Modi's Response
What ever medication here you are giving is fine. And as per the pain in hand can be because of immobility. Here understand one thing initially to move her hand and legs on affected side the will be pain but if you don't mobilise it will be increasing more and more along with stiffness. So I suggest to start with physical therapy they will start with different exercise techniques like pnf therapy as well motor relearning therapy. Balance and coordination exercises etc. With this she will improve. Remember one thing the amount of improvement will depend on how much damage has happen in side the brain and it can not be normal how she was before. But yes she can improve up to the extent where she vacancies be self dependent. I appreciate your concern for your mother. Hope this was helpful to you. Take care.
