Has Anyone Had A Left-sided Stroke With Left Sided Paralysis?
I am 39 years old. I had a stroke in December of 2006. Doctors told me I had a left sided stroke. Everything that I have read tells me that a left sided stroke causes right sided paralysis. I had left sided paralysis. Should I be considering checking out another neurologist?
Talk to your doctor again for a full explanation of what kind of stroke you had. You can also request a copy of your medical records and get them right away. What he said doesn't sound right, but you might not have had any clarity of mind at the time you heard about your diagnosis. Even family members can be worried and confused then.
See if you can clear it up with the doctor who first diagnosed you, and also give him an update on any other concerns you have been having since your stroke.
God Bless.
Thanks for using Helathcaremagic. Very rarely this can happen on same side in few people. Before that confirm the side on the scan. If CT scan done then it may not be accurate. MRI is more accurate. Get clarified from the same neurologist. No need for another neurologist. Bye
