How Can Paralysis Along With Swelling In The Scrotum Be Treated?
My husband just turned 66. he has had a stroke which left his lift side paralaized. he can move his leg & stand on it but won t walk without hanging onto a railing. his left ankle always rolls & its hard to get him on & off the toilet. But the big problem is he takes neuratin, blood pressure pills, seizure & diabetets plus more. His penis & scrodom swell up & he is in mesiery. I can t make him come no matter what I do & he can t make himself come either. He lays in bed at night & just moans & groans & is in pain & neither of us can get any sleep. any suggestions. HELP!!!!
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
The swelling would be related to the fact that he likely spends a lot more time laying or sitting down than before the stroke since he cannot easily ambulate.
He needs physiotherapy to improve his strength and mobility. If he cannot go regularly then the physiotherapist can demonstrate activities to do at home.
A rail can placed in the bathroom to help him get up or you can have a mobile sitting potting placed in the bedroom.
I hope this helps.
