Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of persistent cold and cough which seems to be due to persistent upper respiratory tract infection and impaired immunity of body.
Need not to worry. I would suggest you to take proper preventive measures such as avoid intake of cold carbonated beverages and avoid intake of sharp spicy food. Visit ENT specialist once and get it examined and start treatment after proper prescription. You should go for blood and sputum tests as well along with X-ray chest and start proper course of antibiotics along with antiinflammatory medications. Avoid smoke and exposure to smoking particles if you do. You should apply mist humidifiers in room and take throat lozenges.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
