How Can Persistent Cough And Inflammation In The Chest Be Treated?
I ve had a persistant cough for the past three weeks, dry cough with a little bit of mucose, persistant during day and night anf now my chest feels even inflamated from so much coughing. I had a viral infection before wh9ch went away but now i dont further know ehat is going on. I do no feel sick, i am still 100% active/functional, bit this coughing is starting to get worse day by day.
"As"per your clinical history is concerned please follow like this -
1)Do a clinical examination by your Doctor and to confirm do CBC with differential to know if it is viral or bacterial.
2)Discuss with your treating Doctor about OTC cough syrup and add antibiotics if any secondary bacterial infection is suspected.
Do follow lifestyle modifications like this -
1)Try to wash your hands. Thorough and frequent hand-washing is an effective way to prevent many common infections. Or use alcohol-based hand sanitizers if soap and water aren't readily available.
2)Cover your mouth when you cough. To avoid contaminating your hands, cough into a tissue.
3)Try to avoid crowds during peak viral season, you reduce your chances of infection.
Hope that helps
