Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

As per your query your infant have symptoms of persistent cough which is due to upper respiratory tract infection due to poor immunity of child and leading to bronchitis/ granular pharyngitis. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to consult pediatrician/ENT specialist and take proper treatment. Doctor may order throat swab test , blood test, X-ray chest along with pulmonary function tests. Doctor may prescribe antibiotics for at least for 5 days along with decongestant . For now take mild steam twice a day. Avoid use of sharp and spicy food substances. Avoid cold carbonated beverages.

Hope your concern has been resolved.
Best Wishes,
Dr. Harry Maheshwari
