How Can Pitoriasis Rosea On The Abdomen And Neck Be Treated?

I was recently diagnosed with pitoriasis rosea with the herald patch being near the groin area and the rash spreading all over my abdomen and neck. I’m getting laser hair removal in my armpits and as of now there is no discoloration or patches in the armpit area and I wanted to check if I can still keep my appointment.

Hello,

Pityriasis rosea caused by the herpes virus. And it resolves on its own, no treatment is required. Usually rash in groin regions is caused by fungal organisms. If you are feeling rash with itching, please consult a dermatologist for further suggestion and management.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Siddartha
