How Can Pitting Edema In The Lower Extremities Be Treated?
Hi, I have been having pitting edema to lower extremities for approx 6 months now. I have also been noticing when I wake up in morning have swelling and tightness in both hands/fingers and can t get my rings off until swelling goes down. More recently in addition having puffiness to both upper eyelids and around eyes. I have had blood work for a lot of things but everything comes back normal. Also decrease in urine output.
You may be having some kidney problems for sure. Are you sure your creatine and urea are measured? Are you sure your proteins and albumin measured? Any proteinuria?
Kindly give us the details of your entire test, so that we can have some pictures of yours. Your case is an admission case in the hospital, if possible kindly get admitted and get evaluated and they might treat you with furosemide for that edema. With this online consultation, it is impossible treat you correctly.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Archana
